HDPE Butt Fusion Steps

 

Follow these steps to ensure a successful HDPE butt fusion:

 

  1. Place the two PE pipes to be connected on the HDPE butt fusion machine clamp simultaneously. Make sure the other end of each pipe is supported at the same horizontal plane using a pipe bracket.

  2. Use an electric rotary knife to cut the end face of each pipe flat, ensuring a fully matching contact surface between the two pipes. Heat the electric heating plate to 210 °C and position it in the middle of the end faces of the two pipes. Operate the HD pipe joint machine to ensure both end faces are fully heated and in contact with the electric heating plate simultaneously.

  3. Once the heating requirements are met, remove the heating plate and use the butt welding machine hydraulic device to fully dock the end faces of the two melted pipes. Lock the hydraulic device to prevent rebound.

  4. During plastic fusion welding, ensure the pipe crimping thickness and docking time strictly adhere to the material process requirements. You can also refer to the technical parameters and specification requirements provided by butt welder manufacturers.
