HDPE Butt Fusion Steps

 

HDPE Butt Fusion Steps

 

Here are the steps to follow for HDPE butt fusion:

 

  1. Place the two PE pipes to be connected on the HDPE butt fusion machine clamp simultaneously. Make sure the clamp is suitable for the diameter of the pipes. Support the other end of each pipe with a pipe bracket, ensuring they are on the same horizontal plane.

  2. Use an electric rotary knife to cut the end face of each pipe flat. This ensures a proper match between the contact surfaces of the two pipes. Heat the electric heating plate to 210 °C and position it in the middle of the end faces of the two pipes. Operate the HD pipe joint machine to ensure both end faces are fully heated and in contact with the electric heating plate simultaneously.

  3. Once the heating requirements are met, remove the heating plate. Use the butt welding machine hydraulic device to fully align the melted end faces of the two pipes. Lock the hydraulic device to prevent rebound.

  4. During plastic fusion welding, ensure the pipe crimping thickness and docking time strictly adhere to the material process requirements. You can also refer to the technical parameters and specification requirements provided by butt welder manufacturers.
