HDPE Butt Fusion Steps

 

Follow these steps to ensure a secure and reliable connection between two PE pipes:

 

1. Place the two PE pipes on the HDPE butt fusion machine clamp simultaneously. Make sure to use the appropriate clamp size for the pipe diameter. Support the other end of each pipe with a pipe bracket, ensuring they are on the same horizontal plane.


2. Use an electric rotary knife to cut the end face of each pipe flat. This step guarantees a fully matched contact surface between the two pipes. Heat the electric heating plate to 210 °C and position it in the middle of the end faces. Operate the HD pipe joint machine to ensure both end faces are fully heated and in contact with the electric heating plate.


3. Once the heating requirements are met, remove the heating plate. Use the butt welding machine hydraulic device to fully dock the melted end faces of the two pipes. Lock the hydraulic device to prevent rebound.


4. During plastic fusion welding, adhere to the material process requirements for pipe crimping thickness and docking time. You can also refer to the technical parameters and specification requirements provided by butt welder manufacturers.
